I talked to a friend today who mentioned to disconnect fuse box under hood and lift up and look 👀 for any chewed up smaller wires. Evidently he had happen from mice on a GM that sat for a bit. alcohol seems to be the answer now so will ck tomorrow. Lol |
I pulled the fuse box and quickly identified a chewed off wire but wasn’t the culprit.

Unplug a easy to get to injector, get a digital 12 volt meter. Turn key to run, probe both sides of injector wire to ground, one side should show ignition voltage with your key on. If yes, this verifies they have 12 volts. Now stick both probes in injector plug and crank over, your digital volt meter should flash around 3 to 6 volts as computer attempts to fire the ground side of the injector to fire it. Judging by the mouse nest and chewed off wire in your pic, I imagine you have other bad ones you havent found yet, Smitty

that is why a few posts up I said to pull that box out and look under it. for some reason I see this all the time in 2000 to about 2004-05 trucks. prior to that you rarely see it after that you rarely see it but that era the mice seem to love.

How old is the fuel?, and you do have spark for sure right?
|
Old fuel
|
I’ll confirm spark today however it fired on ether.
The fuel is a concern now after thinking about it. I may have grabbed a few gallons last spring out of my old fuel storage barrels from when I drained the boat. Meant for lawnmowers etc however I might have gotten in a pinch. I’ll put another 5g of fresh in on top of the 3 or 4 I put in to get to the station. |
Do yourself a favor and drain all the old fuel out first
