Thanks, any experience with that cam in a 454? I'm worried with the specs being smaller that the old Crane flat tappet I'll lose power, unless the roller design and profile will make it up?

I also run the 500 EFI cams in my stock Merc 420's. 230/236 Duration, 598/610 Lift on a 114

I run a Comp 237°/243° on my 8.9:1 587HP 454's. I'd run this cam if I was buying new.

Second one sounds impressive! Custom grind or do you have more specs that I can track down if of the shelf? Grind # or part #

The exhaust will support it, had EMI Thunder with dry to the tip tails and wouldn't do anything less than that. Do you think the exhaust held up yours from going over 5300?
Im not looking to go to far past 5500, 6k max

I think the 465 cam is slightly different but very close to my old flat tappet Crane can... 465 specs per oso thread is 240º/250º - 559"/.578" - LSA 110º + 5º
It's a shame Crane is gone
My cylinder heads chokes the engine. Using stainless marine with dry to transom risers, and thats how it was dynoed.

Builder called Comp and they ground it. The ramps are not too aggressive and I run solids on these HUC HR cams. Comps said that they have no issues with that. Mine are on a 114 for EFI, I probably should have put them 112 for more torque. Also 2/3,4/7 swap. (LS)
