Buy a Char-Lynn hydraulic helm, 3 high pressure lines, 1 low pressure return line and go full hydraulic. Best investment in your boat you can make.

I was looking at different hydro helm systems, the Char-Lynn seems to be the best setup. The single or twin rams are all about flow rating on the helm.

Are there rebuild kits available for the rams? Obviously varying manufacturers etc. Who would stock some of these?

Thanks for help Gentlemen.

if you dont know what the rams are just take them to a hydraulic shop that rebuilds them. they will open them up and know what seals they use

Never seen any kits. I had one of my Marine Machine ram rebuilt at a hydraulics shop. It had all the o rings and seals listed on the receipt. The other started leaking and took it to friend who had done it before. It's not that hard to do and I could easily do it myself now.
