That's disappointing. I bought one with brass terminals for ~$35-40 just about 2 years ago.

FYI, here's an assortment of caps from RockAuto, some noted as having brass terminals. I'm not sure about the vented/non vented aspect, I suspect we're supposed to use non-vented to avoid igniting fuel vapors. The OE part from GM is D329A and it has aluminum terminals, FWIW.

On the GM truck forums (Vortec 5.0, 5.7, and 7.4 all use these crab caps), the United Motor Parts version gets good reviews.

I ordered the one from summit with brass and a vent. it is going in my truck so no problem with the vent. the one I ordered says 5.0 and 5.7 and has good reviews. oddly enough they list a separate one for the 7.4 (what I have) that is a different part number and does not have the best reviews. we will see how it goes. my thinking is the aluminum ones burn the surface of the aluminum after they run and starts the corrosion and since I dont drive it a lot that corrosion builds up instead of burning off and creates the misfire, or at least makes it worse. time will tell.
