I spoke with a friend who has installed evac systems on several engines, including marine applications.

With this setup, negative pressure is created in the crankcase.

As shown in the attached picture, the hoses are routed to the exhaust and fitted with check valves.

Yes, I don’t think I’ll have space for a vacuum pump. But the evac system I mentioned earlier – could it work in a similar way?
yes, this the system i used. Eliminated oil misting issues.

No reason to reinvent the wheel.
talked to a friend who knows guys building engines for street race and drag racing. He said it will only be good with a vacuum pump for my application. The evac for exhaust would be too small

Well, if your friend talked to a friend who knows guys building engines for cars, then I`d definitely take their advice over the guys who actually know boats.
Good luck!

Just trying to fiend the best solution for my engine. Maybe it’s unnecessary and just need evac kit for exhaust. It’s that what you saying?

I`m saying get a Catch can and move on with your life.
If that`s not good enought you have other problems.
Why overcomplicate things?

The info I got is that even with just a catch tank, crankcase pressure remains — which is almost impossible to eliminate with a blower engine. A vacuum pump, however, solves the problem by effectively removing the pressure from the crankcase, that’s what I’ve been told.

But sure, if you say a catch tank alone is enough, who am I to argue.

Exactly
A little blowby is normal, too much for a catch can indicates a problem. In reality the breathers should handle it.
