I have seen that the satin's rust really quickly.

The satin finish is slightly superior for performance. Your finger will slide across a satin blade easier than a polished blade, even though the satin blade feels slightly rougher. The polished finish "sticks" more. All props lab finished by Mercury Marine are given a satin finish.

That said, they do rust very quickly in salt water. It is only surface rust and can be removed, but it is not very attractive.
