Default winter boating

Boating in the North East this time of year with water temps. in 45-50 degrees.Is it safe for blower engines?

Why not? Only need to wait to reach operating temp before pulling serious trottle on your engine. The cold aire give you a little more power (not expect serious improvements, but noticeable) Is like having a monster intercooler.

One word of caution: if the temps on the water are near 32ºF or 0ºC is better to have your outdrive completely submerged on the water, raised the lower unit of an outboard and temp went too low and got serious damage on the water pump and the lower unit of the Outboard by the ice.
