Man, I'd stay away from Redline.
It's obvious it is a CULT, just like the website says.
I can see this is going to be a venture that will take some time. Everyone has their own favorite and it doesn't seem to matter if they decide that based on testing, (which there really seems to be little evidence of), or just by warm fuzzies.
While I appreciate the effort someone goes thru to put a see-thru cover on a differential and looking at it, what real facts have been obtained relating to how effective of a lubricant it is.
I really believe in the ASTM tests. They are not geared towards the automotive industry as some have suggested, that would be SAE testing. ASTM is the American Society for Testing and Materials. Unless there is a standard by which to compare lubricants by, you may as well just believe what the manufacture of the product tells you.
Everyone can come up with neat names and fancy salesman words to make you believe they have something incredble but what it boils down to is comparitive testing. It may very well be that the correct ASTM test has not been created to answer the question relating to drive gear stresses, but the ones we have now definitely help.
I have made a call to Redline asking them why they used the tests for grease instead of fluid lubricants. They are going to call me back. I will post later.

I just got off the phone with Teaque Custom Marine. The ONLY recommend Amsoil 80W-90 GL-2 thru GL-5.
This is not the one Amsoil recommends for drives though. I still need to call Amsoil and get an answer on that, but I assume they intended the GL-4 lube for stock marine applications.
Teague also recommends Merc HP fluid for stock applications.
They DO NOT recommend Redline. They told me it sticks to the parts too much and breaks down too rapidly.
So I guess the sticking to parts is not a good thing.
Teague sells a lot of drives and races with what he sells. I do value their opinion.
I am sure there are others that will recommend Redline or Royal Purple etc...
