Default mounting of trim plates

Please give me your opinons. Intalling new drives power etc. to a 38' top gun non-stepped hull. Getting ready to install the trim plates. we are debating on installing the plates horizontally level, or mounting them on the same angle as the v. The old ones were mounted on the angle of the v from cig. A couple different theories. Just looking for more input. Thank-you.

Ask Cigarette.
I am sure they, if anybody, has tried numerous positions on the transom.
