What type paint and primer should I use for repainting tabs?

I know that this doesn't directly answer your question, but I had both trim tabs powder coated. I had both pieces (tab and transom mounting plate) painted. Four pieces all together for only $75 and they came out great.

It depends how bad thay are.If thay are salt water chewed up then you really should take them off and sand blast them.320 sand them Then use a etch primer then a 2K primer then single stage urathane.Your done!!!write or print this take it to a jobber thay will help you on this
