mcollinstn,

Sure sounds good to me! bobby daniels and blown1500 live down in NASCAR land. It sounds like these guys know how to blue print engines in ways I have never heard before and have come up with a hum dinger of a combination for unique individuals like me ----so stay tuned folks!

And Dyno,-----listen closely here now son;----- you keep our little engine secret between you and I or Ol' Captain KAAMA Kahuna of Cubic Inch is going to take little Dyno Don "skiing" behind his boat!

Hello, Dyno,
Different blocks have different wall thickness. On a 4 bolt main MkIV, you can almost always go at least .060". Some get too thin or hit water there, but many can go to .125" over. You should sonic check the bores before you try anything. Hardblock can be a help, but I would hesitate to use it in a boat.
Displacement with a 4.00" stroke for some common sizes are:
Bore Displacement overbore
4.28" 460.4 .030"
4.31" 466.9 .060"
4.35" 475.6 .100"
4.375" 481.1 .125"

Hope this helps

Dyno!
That is a good combo. Be sure to get 6.385" rods. They will work just fine-any question, post or pm. The price is good, where did you get it? Try Flatlander, Jegs, Summit, Unlimitedspeed.com and see what others think
