Thumbs down Re: Oil Lines?

Stay away from the blue pushlock aeroquip hoses.
It just cost a buddy of mine a motor !
One of the lines blew off. Turns out hose was deteriorated/delaminated . Talked to several experts, hi - temp hose is necessary. Maybe for a stock or mildly modified small motor blue pushlock works. This motor had 75 lbs of oil pressure.
Hose was two years old, seen about 20 hours of use, never overheated. Also safetyclean solvent may be to blame as well.
Make hoses up extra long where possible, and trim ends off, and re-install if they have seen the parts washer.
