1) My goal is NOT to break chit (ok, maybe a drive or 2 realistically)........
2) When was the last tim you said no effin way.......was it the speed pool that you (nor I) took home that most in said my little small blocks would barely run 60 mph in the 31 foot tank ? You can always call me.............you know how it is when one of us is down...................Midnight Marine Corp opens up at 5 PM or so. Howabout this.......If, when I do get around to it, get this project underway, if I can get the valve train to live for 400 hours, you owe me a set of the ones that lasted - lol
3) I think you made a good move with the crowers. They ran them in the 5, and they looked good at the rebuild, and now I know Scarry Anne has them in hers (another overnight, Sat delivery b4 a pokerrun
) and I think Lenny may have made the switch too. Blown 1500, I would have given you a call yesterday, but sometimes this work think interferes with things like this - lol
Also, that is the combo I'd like to build (w/ a 6.800 rod) I know some will try to get me to go bigger, but I thik this or a 582 with a long rod would be a good choice.

blown 1500 i have 125 hrs on that boat the engine pics are on the board under the section merlin 540 new paint. i am running those new comp cams lifters that everyone is having a hard time getting. i also run isky tool room springs. so far so good. a gor 260 hrs out of those same engines before i freshened them last year. i am impressed with there performance so far
