Prop Direction

Using TRS outdrives should the props turn inboard or out board and which way handles best or performs the best ??

jbrauer 02-05-2003 12:28 PM

Hotrod - Try doing a search for prop rotation. This has been the subject of quite a few threads.

My .02 - It depends upon the specific boat, power, loading, rigging, and personal preference of what "feels" good.

Whatever, be careful testing since changing rotation can make the boat handle quite different in some cases.

Good Luck!

repitch and custom Lab/masi242

masi 242 you need 600 rpm we will have to repitch the prop down 2" in pitch and reduce the dia a little ( MY SECRET ) Then thin out the blades and re balance to zero tolerance and put some cupping on the tips of the blades ,the turn around time right now is two weeks minium, and the cost with a satin finsh is 390.00 and to polish the prop it would total out to 490.00 it will blow out of the hole like a bullet and run great on mid and top end range also .shoot me a contact phone number and best time to call and I will be glad to call you back for complete details of work and pricing/Thanks Darin;)
