You jogged my memory, there. I was pretty sure I had an Injectamatic control panel laying around someplace, so I dug it out and snapped a pic.

We haven't made any of those since '89 or so. All the cars were coming with fuel injection, so you just couldn't aim a nozzle sideways into the throttle body.

I have used the aquamist systems on some of my turbo cars. They worked really well. The increased horsepower was very evident because my knock sensor showed 0 degrees knock retard with the aquamist system activated and 11 to 13 degrees knock retard with the aquamist system off. it also helps out a lot when your fuel quality is poor.

I made one also back in the mid 80s. I had a 79 Bronca with a 400 clevleand engine. I simly took a 2.5 gal jug. ran a line with an orfice in it down to the bottom. Placed a 1/2" t in the line coming from the air pump. Ran the 1/4" line from my water tank thru the T and and out the endfartest down stream from the air pump. This created a low presure area at the end of the 1/4" line and pulled water out of the tank. As engine rpms increased, so did air flow, so did low pressure(vacume) on my water line.
I dumped the water into the top of the air cleaner. I used about a gallon of water for every tank full of gas.. In the winter I poured a pint of rubbing alcohl in the water tank.
It was a stock engine... seems like it increased my milage by 1-2 mpgs.
Very low tech, but fun to tinker with to get the right amount of water.

I remember scads of water injection systems in the Banks Turbo days of the 80's

I will be looking to use a water injection system for this setup in my 1987 Scarab 38kv after this winters repower.
I am presently mixing in CP-12 VP Racing Fuel at 1:3 ratio with 93 pump gas to prevent detonation. It works fine but it costs a fortune.
Running about 15 psi of boost and it pushes my heavy 38kv to 75 mph GPS.
I want to repower this winter and looking to move up to a pair of 540s with the same Turbo setup.

I know a guy who has a 38' Welcraft flat deck KAAMA SE that was back when Merc originally produced stock 475hp turbos----he's running superchargers now, but if you are interested he has a ton of turbo charger stuff for sale---exhaust pipes and everything!
