Merlin makes a marine manifold part number 063034 and a street version 063030 both are std. deck and 4150 carb mtg. They don't state if they are oval or ret. what they do tell you is: "Runner size effective on 468 - 540 ci."
Dart makes an oval # 41214 non-marine. I don't know what the marine # is. Bob |
Go figure. Merlin makes a marinized oval port head, but don't make the matching intake.
Thanks for all your help. I was looking for the marinized intake only. I may just buy the standard intake. See ya! |
How did you determine that the marine one was Oval?

It's been a while since I posted on this thread, so here is goes.
I decided to go with the intakes that have been on the boat for the last five years. I had the Holley Strip Dominator's (Oval Port). I ported both intakes to match the ported heads, since the old intakes were not port matched. Things worked out better than expected. Last year with the old setup with a full load of fuel and all the other goodies the motors were turning about 4900 rpms. Last weekend on the first test run of the year I turned up 5200 rpms with a full load of fuel. An increase of 300 rpms! I was pretty happy about the increase considering I didn't have to modify the motor's to get an increase. I guess my porting skills aren't so bad after all!!! Panther |
