That is way cheaper than what I thoght it would cost. Make sure you have the person check real close before you tell them to go ahead. They may once they start, tell you damage is worse than what they thought & tell you it is going to cost more $$$ to repair.

Wait a second opinion may be needed. If you need new stringers then there will be definate signs of detachment near the aft or bulging near the motor.

My old 86 Baja had this same problem with the cracked chine, I paniced and went straight to a friend who does this for a living. We filled it with epoxy resin, smoothed it down 6 years ago. I sold it to another friend...still running.

Post some pics of the chine and inside on the stingers.
