drive height for 2000 38 fountain
Hi everyone,
I've been following this site for a while, great info and people. I own a 2000 fountain 38 lightning and am curious as to what the ideal drive height should be? When the boat was new with 500 efi's and 26" hydromotives it ran 77mph on gps at 5200rpm. This winter put on whipplechargers and motors are making 625hp. Yesterday we tested the boat and it ran 83mph on gps with 28" bravo 1 props on xr drives, midrange was awesome, but the boat felt like it wasn't getting enough lift from 5000 to 5400 rpm. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

also did you check your valve springs ,,and or change cams
it should turn a much larger prop as we have done 6 whipplecharged fountains and know what they can do and this is just WRONG ,
