The Lunati billet rods are close in price with the Olivers. When I built my motor I had two of my own choices. Oliver or Lunati billet. I went with Lunati billet only because the engine builder got a better price on them, so in the long run it was like $400 differance. I feel as they're both equal in quality and both are made in the USA.

It depends on your budget.
To some people calling Sterling and ordering 3 (got to have a spare) 1200's is on a budget:D :D

Unfortunaltey in my case I don't think I could afford the flame arrestors on those motors:rolleyes:

I've looked at those kits several times for a referance point, I've had some emails with the tech guy at Flatlander and was treated like crap I'd pay double to buy from someone else!

Sorry to hear this...guess they don't want to sell a min. of 2 kits.

Dyno,
I have been running Oliver rods in my 565" motor for three years. They are indestructible.. Well I had a wrist pin walk into the cylinder wall at 4800rpms and put an S bend in the rod, but never cracked it.. Oliver magnafluxed. It is now one of thier show pieces at the events they go to. I would go with them again, because they do treat me right and it is an American product built here in Grand Rapids.
I originally bought them at a real good price from Callies.. those guys are the greatest!!!!! Call and talk to Brook, topshelf guys, they back their stuff up beyond belief.. Just my experience!!
