500hp carbed oil filter?
#1
What type of oil filter are you guys running on your 500HP motors? Should I stick with the Quicksilver brand or is there an automotive type that crosses over to fit?

Do yourself a favor and use a filter with a synthetic element. The cardboard crap that the old style filters use will not work if it gets any moisture in it. I would hope this would never happen but why not have the protection for the same or less money on a higher tech filter. Can you tell I don't like Fram?

My best guess would be no they just have more cardboard. There is a old oil filter study floating around on the internet somewhere and it slammed Fram and a few others for making sub standard filters. I would buy the Mobil One Filter and I think Wix may be another good choice but not sure. I like the Pure One Filter because it fits (not too long and I can buy them at one of my accounts when I am at their retail store that is like a Wal-Mart. I am NOT a expert I just have a opinion I am sharing.
