You can still get all the manuals from Merc. You willl more then likely have to order them. I have I think 6 manuals to cover my outdrive, tranny, and engines.

Scott B, mine slipped too under power, till I rebuilt it. When I took it apart all the clutch plates were worn to almost nothing. ie. no friction material left. Luckily, it's an easy rebuild.
Note- when I replaced the teflon seal on the shaft I went with an aftermarket 'bronze-filled teflon seal' said to have a higher tolerance for heat.

Brian,
Where did you get the seal, and did you note the P/N?
I am going to change the fluid, check the screen and the line pressure this week, if thats not it I guess it's time to pull the motor. I think I will do the extra (5 - 6? ) plate conversion while it is out.. I figure a new cam is part of the cost of rebuilding the tranny
Thanks!

For whoever wants, email me and Ill send you a pdf of the repair sections for both the trans and the TRS drive. The file size is big, so keep that in mind (9.5MB in size). I have included a torque specs, full exploded views, and part numbers also. It's good info to have on hand for when these things crap out.

Hi Scott, I don't have a part number for that bronze filled teflon shaft seal, I purchased it at a 'hydraulic' shop. (It's 1")
As far as the plates, I ordered through Mercruiser, when they arrived they were all in FORD boxes! I paid way too much for them, about three times more than I should have, if only I had known...well, lucky for you I have the part #s.
4-pc. plate C8AZ-7B442-A
5-pc. plate C9AZ-7B164-A
one spring C0AP-7B070-A
and one sealing kit from Mercruiser/Quicksilver 63222A 1(contains all seals required)
rear seal for trans. housing CR 100 50
My serial # for trans. 0013262
Model# MCM-D
