Single or Dual plane intake manifold?

Second the above. My 510 c.i. Sterlings pulled 645 H.P. with port-matched Brodix (and some other really good parts!). Also had a friend who changed his Darts to Brodix and gained 200-300 R.P.M. on mildly modified 502's.

For a 9:00 to1 502ci, 242/[email protected] dur. .610/.623lft, headers, mildly ported stock heads, 800cfm #9022 Holley. Which would be a better choice for intake, Dart (rectangular or oval port), Brodix, Merlin??
Seems as though I never run under 4500rpm!!

Considering that you are greatly overcammed, an Edelbrock dual plane would probably be a good way to retrieve some of that lost horsepower from your camshaft mistake.

I am running the Dart now (rect. port version), and the boat seems to run real strong!!
I have plenty of power out of the whole and strong top end!!
I have tried the GM dual plane and lost over 100 rpm on the top end!!
If I am over cammed, I don't think it's by that much lot!!
This is just based on my actual experience with this engine boat combo!
