Good question Glenns. I have wondered the same thing. Has any body used the drive boxes on a Formula F357 or F311, and what kind of luck did you have? Propwash...

a standoff box put teh prop further back and into cleaner water but its effectively lowers your x dim.

Most people eitehr run a plus height box or a standard height box with shorty lowers.

ou get improved handling plus potentially raised xdims

Good Question. I haven't been convinced yet of the theory that it always moves it into cleaner water as I have been fighting high propeller slip numbers with an ITS on a step bottom. I have been thinking that it may have moved it into more aerated water from the steps.

very possible. I know boat run like crap with them.

I heard the single engine (25' i think) AT runs like crap with a standoff. Like handling issues and speed loss.

so no standoff boxxes aren't beneficially on every setup. Best bet is to contact themanufacturer and se ei fthey have any additional setup info.
