Default Look at These!

I am pleased to announce that Hydromotive Engineering has Developed a 6 Blade Propeller!

We have two sets of prototypes and have tested them on race boats with impressive results!

These propellers work well on boats with high X dimensions.

This propeller will be available for the 2004 Season.

Sweet Dreams!

I don't see no prop, just a disk!

That is awsome.

The more fins, does that mean the more torque you will gain or do you gain pretty much everything, including accel/midrange/topend, I know on deep sea fishing boats if they run 2 props then they have more torque or something like that.

The only pitch we have now are 32p. You may need a little engine tuning Troutly to turn these at a respectable rpm.

To maximize the performance of the six blades the boat needs to be set-up for them, or, you want a prop to stay hooked up in rough water conditions. Racers find the six blades to be an excellent rough water prop, even on boats with low X dimensions.

To get the max speed and performance, however the X dimension needs to be raised higher than it would be for a 5 blade prop. Usually about 1/2" higher. We will be testing the sets we have through the winter.

If anyone has a boat that can turn a 32 or 33 pitch 5 blade and is interested in testing these props give us a call.

Also new from Hydromotive this year will be the interchangeable hub (like Mercury's Flo-Torque) which will allow both the small and large prop shaft to be used with all the Hydromotive props. Welded in hubs will not be necessary any more, but recommended for high horsepower applications.

What are your fees for trying the prop?

Right now we do not have a fee! I am more interested in some water time for these props. Initial testing has left me

I more interested further development of the prop!

Feel Free to call me.

I'm currently in the off season. I'm pretty sure the combo would produce some interesting results. 26' center sponson cat. The prop shaft is centered on the bottom. Stellings adjustable extension box, imco shortened lower. 580hp/620lbft 540cuin. The boat runs 85mph with a stock 30" bravo 1 @ 5200, 90mph with a 32" bravo1 @ 5200, 85mph with a 34" lab bravo1 @ 5500rpm (limited). Obviously the boat wants to go faster, but the slip is killing it.

Sucks that the season is over. Come spring we'll have to make a point of getting together.
