Blowers Holley vs Wieand
#1
What is the difference? Is one better for marine use?
It looks like the Wieand has a longer nose option that may fit more applications.
The Holley has Teflon tipped rotor blades.
Holley uses a cross ribbed belt and Wieand uses a 16 rib belt.
Wieand is a Holley company so the Holley 250 and the Wieand 256 are priced about the same.
For my application (1991 454 mags, carbed, 200 hours, all stock even exhaust) Would the 250/256 be the right choice?
Could I get by with the stock Quadrajet and exhaust for a year, then upgrade those next year?
Farming was a little lean this year, but ya gotta take care of the toys.

Holley droped their B&M 250 and 420...so that leaves them their Weiand line.
For your setup I like the BlowerShop 250 with a Dominator feeding it.

The B&M and Weiand were never known for their efficiency, depending on sizing the Weiand was a bit better typically, but not by much.
No quadrajet, can't do anything with that. Need a 800cfm minimum for your app. Only need Dominator if you want 700+hp which you won't do without a lot of mods to your engine.

Roger, watch your mail
Scott I've got stock Merc exhaust.
Mark, I'll look at Blowershop
Dustin, Sounds like I can't do it over time. I'll have to save and get the blower, Carb and exhaust all at once.
Oh well, one more year of running stock.
Thanks guys
