Default Xr Sportmaster

Are any of you guy's having problems with the cavatationn plate coming off. One came off and the other sideis cracked!!!! Also I have a one inch spacer.

You need to talk to Mercury Racing...the old design was seriously flawed...they have reengineered the splash plate and are now replacing them. I lost several props in the process trying to explain the problem to them. They finally came clean and realized they had a problem.. Several other posts have talked about this problem.

Correct! This problem has been brutal on props.

It never friggin' ceases to amaze me when I hear about all of the high-dollar items you guys buy from Mercury that turn out to be seriously flawed. I'm a big Merc fan, but this is ridiculous. I think their so-called "extensive testing" program is a joke. I think this is what the quality control checklist looks like:

1. Make sure black paint is sticking properly (at least for the timing being).
2. Place inspection sticker on product.
3. Repeat for next item on production line.
