Hardin Marine - Cyclone Shorty Header
This is supposed to be a direct replacement for Gil exhaust manifolds.
Bolts up to Gil risers. Anybody using or have any experience with this manifold? |
I have them, fit great. On blower motors 700+ hp.

This is a subject that I am very interested in too. Hope that you get some more responses.

I have them and see no difference in speed. I talked to a friend at sterling and was told with a blower motor it will not change any on a 502 or mine a 510 bbc. If I had a 540 he said then they would not work.

Re: Hardin Marine - Cyclone Shorty Header
I have installed them on a HP465 502 after a rebuild. I didnt see anywhere on the dyno where they could possibly be causing a loss of power. As for the Gils, i have seen them on FI 800+ hp applications.

Re: Hardin Marine - Cyclone Shorty Header
Is there any new information on these? I had some corrosion on my gils and ended up with reversion. I'm considering the cyclone shorty's instead, but my new engine is a 650hp 540 and from the above posts, it sounds like a bad idea. Anyone have any experience or input they'd like to share?
