Default Hardin Marine - Cyclone Shorty Header

This is supposed to be a direct replacement for Gil exhaust manifolds.
Bolts up to Gil risers.
Anybody using or have any experience with this manifold?

What exhaust did you end up with on the 42?

Wow! 4mph is a lot of speed to lose. That equates to about an 80-100hp loss!---that isn't any good for sure!

I have them and see no difference in speed. I talked to a friend at sterling and was told with a blower motor it will not change any on a 502 or mine a 510 bbc. If I had a 540 he said then they would not work.

I have installed them on a HP465 502 after a rebuild. I didnt see anywhere on the dyno where they could possibly be causing a loss of power. As for the Gils, i have seen them on FI 800+ hp applications.

Is there any new information on these? I had some corrosion on my gils and ended up with reversion. I'm considering the cyclone shorty's instead, but my new engine is a 650hp 540 and from the above posts, it sounds like a bad idea. Anyone have any experience or input they'd like to share?
