We do that as a part of our winterization.We always pull the screens and clean them. I see everyone learned fast about that VST.Good info from you guys.

marinetrans, how do you clean the screen? Does it come off of the fuel pump so it can be cleaned? When I had mine apart I didn't see anything on it, but if it blocks that small of particals them maybe they can't be seen that easily.
That O-ring also sucks when you take it apart, so you better have a replacement when you pull the top off.
