There are some areas on a Bravo 1 prop that are just waiting for a crack to start. These areas can be quickly finished to reduce the possibility of a crack. The downside is that any work done to the props will void the warranty.

The reason that lab props sometimes last longer than stock is that these areas are usually finished through the lab finish process.

It is my understanding that it covers ALL props-
2.5 hp outboards clear up thru 525SC's...Alpha's, Bravo's, Mirage, etc- everything!!

Does anyone have a Phone # for Merc. service, or web address where one could review the service bulletin?

Is this a product safety bulletin to keep them from being sued? A blanket statement to cover their ass?

Do they also have a bulletin that says their engines and outdrives break too?
