:confused: ... yeah, the funny thing is the defect causing the thrown/broken blades (per Merc bulletin) is due to casting voids in the blade root at the hub..... looks to me like "defective materials & workmanship" and should be covered.
There has to be a metalurgical test to "proof" castings before machining begins....??????

I cat scan all my props before they go on the shaft that way you know where all of the imperfections are. Rods and cranks get the CT scan also:D :D it is not rocket science.
