... yeah, the funny thing is the defect causing the thrown/broken blades (per Merc bulletin) is due to casting voids in the blade root at the hub..... looks to me like "defective materials & workmanship" and should be covered.
There has to be a metalurgical test to "proof" castings before machining begins....??????

I cat scan all my props before they go on the shaft that way you know where all of the imperfections are. Rods and cranks get the CT scan also it is not rocket science.
