Looking for 540 EFI or CARB?

I am looking to repower with 540s. Reliability is most important over max hp. Would you suggest EFI? Where is the best place to buy complete motors? Any worthwhile deals out there? Prefer Merlin or Dart over GM.

Call Teague, they have a Merlin deal for under $10k that sounds pretty good.
