I bought them from Teague. These are new. Comp 929 springs, crane retainers 99961, locks are crane 99098 and I forgot the seal number. I started to replace the springs on my HP500s and after installing 8 springs, I found a bunch of broken ones so I stopped. My engine builder will use Isky springs, so I will not use these. One set is in an unopened box and the other set has 8 never installed and 8 that will be removed and sold with the set.
$350 takes everything and I will include shipping to the 48 states.

thanks
Shawn

As far as replacing w/o removing exhaust, look for an air fitting that you can screw into the spark plug hole, rotate cylinder until both valves are closed, plug the air in to hlod vales tight, and replace springs. Rotating to top of compression stroke when piston is at TDC iin the cylinder and compressing with air should work.
Never done this on marine motrs, but it will work.
Someone should have/make a kit. Snap-on or Mac perhaps?
I believe they make a spring removal tool that screws on the head as well.

Old thread...
But I'm trying to do this too! Have 2 different spring compressors and neither is small enough. I have gil manifolds.

I thought this one would be idea, but too tall.

What do people use with leaving the heads and exhaust on?

It's MUCH easier to just remove the exhaust.

Also easier to retrieve that keeper that will fall down between the head and exhaust manifold.
trust me,
