Marc, I saw them and that's why I started asking questions on the board. I want them so that my boat goes into gear easier and would be better around the docks but I am very leary of using them with 900hp on a 100mph V bottom.
Do you guys have practical experience with them with that HP? I can't find many people who have done this, mainly lower HP applications.
Has BAM considered whether there is a market for a modified powerglide that bolts right up where a C72 came out? Maybe that's too much torque on the drives.

Sorry, not done them with the bigger HP. We looked at the powerglide, don't think they will hold up. Torque offered them on the V12 for a while, had some problems.
In any case, the reduction is just used around the dock. Once on plane you shift to direct drive, as you might guess the torque on the drive is multiplied by the reduction so no full throttle banzai starts.
We are working on a new unit from scratch, but it wil be a while.

I just had my B&M transmission done by A&A transmisson. He is the person you want to talk to. He has built some for a guy with 1600 hp. He makes all the parts for the 727 race transmissions. If you need info or any work done call Rick at 317-831-3066 tell him scott sent you. Ive done a lot of reseach on theys transmissions and hes the one you want.

I had always toyed with that idea as well, I workied on a drag boat team back in the 70's and we were just starting to run trans, anyway I think a PG would work great they have them to be able to handle 3000hp now, but they will not hold up if the props come out much...thats the killer....we ended up going to lenco's back then. but they have made huge improvements in parts for them...and they used to make a drive that eliminated the converter and drove the pump..so no loss there..good luck..Rob
