With cats it depends on the location of the drives in relation to the tunnel as well as the diameter of the props as to whether turning in will give more bow-lift or stern-lift. This is due to the amount of tunnel water the props see.

Most tend to turn in on a cat, due to stern lift. A cat will have enough bow lift due to the tunnel. I run my 32 skater with six's in as well. This is how it was set up at lake x, and it will run 125mph with 800sc's.

I ran my Chris Cat props turning out originally, but the boat kept "popping the tail" at 110. TNT said to try turning them in and the problem was eliminated. Ultimately it ran 125 with blown 572s (800 hp).
Turning at low speeds it leaned out more. At moderate speeds it turned flat. Due |
MY 32 HAS RAN 147 @ 7200 RPM 17/30 3 BLADES TURNING IN. ITS A ROCKETSHIP AND ITS WASNT DONE BUT I WAS!!!!

d-zwisle,
What power is in the boat, how fast, what props, who rigged? yours? thansk, John B |
Merlin,
Thats the fastest old style 32 I have heard of. I thought they lifted their tails over 140 and rode on the nose? Is this what happened? |
Due, The boat just did not achieve any top speed. Randy decided early into the run to switch rotations and props. The next run we were both impressed so the purchase was finalized. The Jag does lean a lot in slow turns and wallows like a big pig at speeds under 60 m.p.h.and doesn't respond well around docks with the props turning in but then I have never been comfortable with blower motors and docks so maybe it's me. I try not to run in tight slow areas. I knew I wasn't buying a ski boat. In rough water at speed there is no lean and it tracks and responds great. Doug
