exhaust hose
Why would only one side get hotter then the other?
Post engine, starboard exhaust hose is starting to melt away?
Noticed this last fall and again on the first run of the year?
Was going to remove all hoses and reverse flush them.
any other ideas?

Re: exhaust hose
Piece of impeller made it through to your exhaust/riser. disconnect all hoses before backflushing or you'll just push it back into the thermostat housing.
Could be a damaged ball valve in the thermostat housing too.

Re: exhaust hose
hummm
better check the impelar too while I am at it
I have not replaced one on this motor in two seasons so I did not think it was that failing.
I was and am goign to remove ALL hoses, both ends, before reverse flushing

Re: exhaust hose
Could simply be just corrosion in the riser...Pop it off and inspect it. If so, inpect the other as well...Chances are if it's the impeller the entire motor's gonna overheat...
