35' Cigarette Mistress Props
#1
Hey Group - been a lurker for a while, finally registered and now proud to be a member! I recently purchased my dream boat, a 1978 35' Cigarette Mistress. The boat has 454/400's with TRS Speedmaster drives, and I am currently running 14x22 solid hub Cleavers. I'd like to move to a conventional prop, i.e. Bravo One or Mirage Plus, but due to the Speedmaster gearcase, I need a solid hub, non-exhaust prop. Also, the boat turns 4800 RPM's at WOT but that is with the Cleavers trimmed up to the surface, what do you folks think about moving up to a 15" prop, possibly a four blade, I'm not sure what pitch to run. I have good hole shot, so I am looking more for an increase in top end.

I have a 1977 Mistress with 650 horse. Tried bravo one four blade 24 pitch
great bite but tended to porpoise at top speeds. Swithced to Hydromotive
22 pitch with great results little less bite getting on plane but runs flat no porpoise at all. I am looking for some 24 pitch i need more pitch. Hope this helps.
