Look at the IN side of your oil cooler, just downstream of the raw/sea water pump.
Old pump impeller parts can be lodged in the oil cooler.
You can remove the hose from the inlet side of the thermostat housing, remove the hose from the inlet side of the oil cooler. Then use a garden hose to back-flush the cooler from the thermostat hose. Check for pieces in the bilge for evidence of success.

Bingo.

Also use dish soap in the pump so it won't burn out in the first few seconds without water.
