Default Time for rebuild?

Whaddu think?

I'm replacing the stock merc exhaust manifolds on my 96' 502s that have 400 hours on them. Going to try out the Revolutions. They are weeping slightly and it's that time. Engines run strong, but think I should rebuild because it will be in the shop anyway. What's a typical upper end rebuild go for? 2500.00?

Default Re: Time for rebuild?

I would just do a valve job ($300) and add the rev exhaust. That is all that is needed on a well maintain bbc at your hrs. Anything else will be peeing money away.
