For sure..but to add to it....my machine shop said the early eagle cranks were not machined well at all, and got a bad rep for that...then started machining them here and have been pretty good, even some of the high $$ enegine builders use them for bracket race engines...to say they will never break ?? well can't say that about anything....Rob

i can,t sey about the cranks, because i haven,t used them, but the rods are good to 850 hp at 7000 rpm.remember rpm kills rods, and most offshore type boats are run 6000 rpm or less.i reacently did a 509 for a guy ,used je 8 to 1forged piston, eagle esp rods,gm 5140 crank, crane roller cam[hyd],edelbrock marine aluminum heads, whippel with innercooler.it has app 70 hard hours on it and no peoblems.

A local builder uses Eagle almost exclusively on all engines below 2000HP, unless the customer wants something different....he said he checks them the same way he checks any other cranks...and sends them back if he finds something he doesn't like..just like he sends back callies, crower, lunati, etc.
I personally know of several 1000hp-1200hp blower motors runing around with Eagle cranks/rods with no issues....
We ran Stock GM rods to 850-900hp for years with no problems, stock GM cranks will eventually let go at these power levels though...
