Default 502/500hp Through Prop exhaust

Has anyone tired to run over 500hp througha Trs standard prop exhaust .Should run 4800-5200 WOT. ALL tell me anyhing over 450hp needs
4" transom exhaust to breath, anything will choke the motors.

Basically, I need more hp but retain the quiet of of a underwater exhaust ALL THE TIME,not just silent choice.

Any Ideas. The Cary has 4- 502's /430 Mercruser Bluewater 8.2 L and runs at
present 41mph at 4800. Wet weight 31KLBS I want over 50 mph,and retain quiet.

IDEAS?

Default Re: 502/500hp Through Prop exhaust

I was involved in a project with a local customer that has a fishing boat he wanted more performance out of. I built him a modified version of our MB600with a custom cam just for restrictive exhaust the engine was never dynoed because lack of time and the boat currently is the fastest single engine fishing boat in the Miami area the boat registers 73 mph on the gps and is a Formula hull with a bravo drive the boat had a 454 Mag from Merc and ran 58 mph if you'd like call me and ill give you the customers number for you to speak to him direct for a personal testimonial.Sincerely Laz Mesa 1-305-884-5368
