Re: 525 sc 1999 any good?
I have seen a few in the 98-99 388 Hustlers.2 of them with trips
When I was searching for a Hustler I looked at a few that had the 525's in them .My main thing I was looking at was the condition of the hull and Interior. The engine I knew I could do them my self and would probably be soon anyway. The condition on the appearance meant more to me and told me how they took care of the boat.

I had a friend that had the 525 blower problem about a front bearing . but he ran the sh*t out of it . And if there is a oil level to ck I know he did not ck it .

At that many hours I would think it would be close to a freshing up.I have never heard of any failures. it also could benefit from a innercooler but you will have to cut the hatch.

I would do a leak down by someone that knows how to use the gage.this will give ya an idea about the rings etc. When I bought mine the mecanic At Lake Cumberland Marine told me it had 0% leakage in all cyclinders I told him he was a IDIOT . I new when the Snap On leak down tester had never been used there was no body there that knew anything about motors.

good luck.
