Nauti Kitty on the board did his 41' Saber last year.
Went from a tripple bravo to staggered #6's.
Seems to be very happy and very fast.

If you like the boat it is worth doing...We did it last year to our Slingshot and it turned out great. If you put big power or have a heavy boat you need big drives...We put rebuilt #6's on ours when we put the big motors in. The engines had to be moved 9 in's forward and 3 in's up (still side by side). We bought new trannys, and gimbles. Now we don't play the drive game anymore. We had Dan at Archer Marine with Pat Wiesman line up and do our re-rig (over here on the left coast). Good luck.

Why does it look like the stbd. drive is farther back than the port?

I think it is because one drive is trimmed up a little higher than the other.

mc, i've done this job before, so long as the transom is not wet, it's not really necessary to replace the transom for it would add drastically to the over all cost of a re-rig of this caliber. If you need parts or power I happen to have a 39 Aronow for sale with every thing you might need.Additionally i would have interest in tackling a job like this one, being all we do in our facility is new and re-rig's. gimme a call either way I just may be able to help you.

Tres martin re-rigged my Black Thunder from Bravos to #5's. Total cost of labor was about 25k. Total with engines (self Built) was close to 65k. Transom was already glassed and cut when delivered to Tres. You might also want to contact Steve Emmons @ Total Marine and Performance in Slidell, LA. They do excellent work and stand behind it.

Why not just dump the Bravos and go to Konrad Drives?
