what are the formulas update their hull

<<-Making the Silent Thunder exhaust an option or allow it to be deleted and have thru hull exhaust and an aluminum swim platform option.
-Custom paint schemes
-Allow for more power options:
-Staggered engines
-Why not include Merc's T-600's or 1075's?
-Custom power ..Sterling..Pfaff...Illmor etc.
-Arnesons/Teague Platinums/Imco's/#6's
-Bring back a stepped version of the 42'er and add a 47'er as well.
They make one of the best production boats out there...how about adding some customization??>>
I couldn't agree more. A stepped 419 with a pair of staggered 900's would be an incredible boat. I've never owned a boat with triples but they look to be a PITA to maintain. I'm surprised someone hasn't ordered a bare hull and done their own staggered install. The silent thunder is really the only thing that I don't care for on my 311 but I've already talked to Extreme Marine and may have an aluminum platform by the spring!

Hydro, Although I agree we would all like to see more options or some things done differently, I'm not sure the added overhead and "non-standard" configuration control at the factory would be profitable. I read on the forum (can't remember now where or who) that Formula may be dropping the 412 due to low sales (only sold 6 last model year). Even if the models had more configurations I don't think it would boost sales significantly. People who are looking for the configurations you are talking about would probably not go with a Formula anyway. With new Formulas going for well over $300,000, you are in cigarette territory price-wise and I think Formula would lose out to other specialty manufacturers.

Ok then I will narrow my scope of requests to "two".
#1 Silent Thunder Optional / Aluminum platfrom with thru hull exhaust option.
#2 Offer the new 600's and a drive that can handle them on the 38'er.
Keep the price "reasonable" and they would have my business.

First place, they would have to change their whole build process around as its part of the boat, not an add on, and 2nd, it just wouldn't look right on a Formula, IMHO.
"Reasonable" as far as pricing goes is in the eyes of the owner. Formula's sure aren't cheap, but there is alot of stuff out there that it 2 or 3 times as much.

I guess you ought not mess with success. Their swim-platform/muffler system is fine; I could get used to it. Hey, Formula is one of the best production builders out there. Their "fit and finish" and overall quality is very apparent. I like both the 35' and 38' Formula's a lot.
