A 419 with twin 1000 H.P. Sterlings and #6 drives would be the boat of my dreams, and no ... it has never been done.

There's a guy in California with twin 850 Teagues and Arnesons in a 382. Recently did an article on it in Powerboat regarding swapping the Bravos for the Arnesons. It's a legit 100+ boat. They call it the 100mph condo! He does run several poker runs on the west coast. There is also a 382 Poker Run edition for sale in Cali with a pair of blown 540's (reported 800 hp each). I would think it would run in the 90's. There are some fast Formulas out there but it just isn't the norm nor is it the direction the factory wants to go. If you want to go fast, buy one with a pair of 500's or 525's and whipple or pro-charge it.

Extreme caution must be exercised when updating the hole otherwise severe damage to the lower unit could occur.

I have Jwags old F311 and have repowered it with 2 540,s. Now I have the best of both worlds.Unless the boys are in a 38 top gun or something I can hang right with them in the water. Although the additional length would be appreciated trying to do some wave hopping on the ocean front. I agree the old Formula paint schemes are alot more atractive then that new mess . !!
