Re: stripping powdercoat?
Last winter I stripped my swim platform (Extreme Marine). I took it to a sandblaster - he just gave it back to me after a few hours. It wouldn't even dent the stuff. I tried Acetone - it wouldn't do anything either. Finally tried the airplane stripper - it was the best. Still wasn't an easy job, but it got done.
As someone else indicated, I think it all depends on the type of powdercoating. |
Re: stripping powdercoat?
My platform is Extreme M. also, where do I find aircraft stripper? Spray on?

Re: stripping powdercoat?
Hey guys,
I too have an Extreme Marine platform that needs to be re-coated or painted... Can I just sandblast and then paint over what ever does not come off? |
Re: stripping powdercoat?
Why not just ask Slingshot, he's been in the business a long time. If he knows how to put it on he probably knows how to take it off.
