Yeah. Check out Madonna with the pointy bra and then check out Queen Latifah. Madonna is the flat-tappet design while Q.L. is the roller design. Dwell on that.

The Ford OHV "Y" block engines (239, 272, 292, 312) also used "mushroom" style tappets.

David, now that you mention that engine family, now I remember them. Man, they were real powerhouses back then. The 312 Thunderbird engine was the hot ticket with the hotrod guys.
Reed, are the pictures going to be here or will you be needing to hang them in uncensored?

I love they way you guys can change a cam question to womens breast shapes. Probably why I love this site!

There are some pretty interesting grinds available today in hydraulic lifter form.

Have you guys seen hydraulic roller lifter failure yet due to the use of synthetic oil?
Seems the roller does not have enough friction to keep turning and develops a flat-spot. We may have to go back to dinosaur oil in some applications.
