Default How do you remove odors from foam padding?

I am recovering a set of bolster seats for my Fountain and have removed the vinyl to get to the wood forms that need to be rebuilt. I am saving the sculpted foam because it is in good condition but has a musty moldy smell. What is the best way to deodorize it before I reattach it to the forms?

Thanks, Todd

Take the foam with you on New Year's Eve and let it absorb the smoke from all the smokers in the bar.

In all seriousness, I have had limited good luck with febreeze.

But you need to be sure that there aren't any living cooties. Maybe spray em with lysol or something, or wipe them with something, THEN febreeze.
Then let them air out awhile, then more febreeze.

Sunlight and Fe-Breeze should do the trick. Maybe attempt a mild mix of bleach and soak them and spin dry in wash machine first. Try a test spot to see if it deteriorates the material first. You may call Knox Foam and see if they have any ideas. Another shot would be to try one of the fire restoration companies in the yellow pages and see if they have any ideas.
