Default Air actuated silent choice

I'm changing from electric to Pnuematic silent choice. Who makes the expolsion proof pumps (compressors). Frankly there does not look like much difference between the high dollar marine one and the cheap tire inflator that you can buy at Walmart.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Why are you changing? I just removed my Merc silent choice because it was a PIA. My friend has Corsa with the electric selonoids and never a problem.

The cheapy should work as far as the compressor itself, not accounting for the spark factor. Course could alway mount it elsewhere, but you will need to install a pressure relief valve, and a solenoid to vent the lines for switching.

Go to your local magazine rack & pick up a copy of "Truck'n" Magazine. All the truck/car suspensions with air bag systems use a full aray of different size compressors. The biggest name in air pumps is "Aim Industries" for air suspensions. They are by far the cheapest source. They are the same pumps used on Merc Silent Choice, Corsa, etc... Hope this helps. Ed

Usually they get switched FROM the air to the Corsa-style electric.
Good luck on the prototype.

look at the ones from viar, have had trouble with the ones from aim on truck apps. Parker also makes a compressor as well.

Who make the electric style ones? Where did you get them?

Thanks.
